Katie Meeker     

PDX NEXT Communications Consultant

Katie Meeker joined the Port of Portland in January 2019 to lead the PDX Next team’s communications work, which includes guiding the brand implementation process, managing marketing strategy and overseeing campaign execution. Alongside a fun and passionate team, and the most amazing Pacific Northwest artists and creatives, she loves to show folks how the airport they love is getting even better – and how to get through the construction changes with a smile.

Prior to her current role, Katie was a freelance consultant with Travel Oregon, Open School and Pyramid Communications. She also worked as the Director of Interactive Production at Wieden+Kennedy, in the Portland and Amsterdam offices, launching two new departments and managing projects for clients like Nike and Microsoft.

She hopes to take her teenage daughter, whose room is covered in travel posters to places she’s never been, abroad next year for the first time.

Sonja Harvey 

Sr. Manager of Air Service Development

Sonja is a Sr. Manager of Air Service Development at the Port of Portland; a consolidated port which operates three airports including Portland International Airport (PDX), marine terminals and business parks.

As part of the Air Service Development team at PDX, Sonja’s focus is on retaining and growing international and domestic air service and working closely with a broad network of community and industry stakeholders to build support for our non-stop flights.

Prior to joining the Port of Portland, Sonja spent over 20 years working for Lufthansa and Air Canada in various operational and sales roles.

Sonja holds a B.A. in Economics from California State University, long Beach. She and her family live in Portland, where they enjoy the rain- and the occasional escape to a sunny destination on a nonstop flight.
